The biggest problem is teh Jager Bombs. That rock Star Energy Drink is LOADD with sugar. Your dad is killing himself, and there is nothing YOU can do about it. I'm sure doctors have all told him what he needs to do. Some people just wont listen. |

Sounds like you need to get the family involved if possible for some intervention and rehab. If thats not possible then talk to your dad. You cant help him, he has to be willing to help himself. Contact some local agenies. If you live in the house its hard to do but I would suggest the next time meth or drugs are used to call the police. They will be arrested, but forced in to a rehab program. Unfortunately this may be your only option. Its called TOUGH LOVE and you may have great results in the end. |

Yeah do what Anji said. It may hurt him that you called the police but it could save his life in the long run. |

I can relate to you. My mom has been a die hard alocholic for the past 7 yrs. Everyone has tried telling her that she needs to stop but she didn't want to listen. She's in the hospital as we speak now. (Mind you that shes doing good now, just cuz shes not home drinking) My dad use to own a bar and he told me that Jager Bombs arn't good for you. I know with diabetics tho, that if they don't take care of it, they can have a body part amputated (leg, foot ect.) My ex boyfriends dad was a diabetic and got his leg amputated up to knee cap because he didn't take care of himself. As for the smoking weed ROCK ON! but not the crystal meth. Have you ever sat down and talked with him about how u feel? That your worried about him? Maybe u should have a talk with him. |

High blood sugar can lead to circulation, heart and eye complications. Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like there is much you can do. He is probably aware of the risks and only he can decided what he wants to do. It's hard to see this happen to a parent but try and remember that they make their own choices, just like we all do. You could try and talk to him about how his choices make you feel though. It sounds like your dad's situation has made you a more responsible and logical person and you will be a better person for that. |
