I really hate answering questions regarding drug use, especially on meth, but I am trying to be non judge mental here, so here is my reply. These symptoms you are describing is called "melaena ". And if you think about it, what your friend is doing, it will make sense why his bowel movements are like this, for a few reasons. First lets Define melaena: These dark, liquid stools, what doctors call melaena, are due to blood in stool from gastrointestinal bleeding. So to look at what your friend is doing, He is smoking a chemical. So the route is through the mouth, trachea, into lungs. But since Crystal Meth is lots of chemicals mixed together, in several fashions, your friend is taking in alot more then just Meth smoke. All this damaging chemicals are damaging the inside of his mouth and the trachea all the way into the stomach. Causing microscopic bleeding (at first) which is secreting into the stomach and being processed with any contents of the stomach. Now keep in mind, Meth users don't usually eat much, and what they do it is far from healthy, so most of whatever is in the stomach is being digested with blood. Now on top of the bleeding, this is also causing inflammation, which will bleed itself. So there is lots of blood entering the stomach. This is where your friend is receiving the black stools from. This is how it works in a nutshell. Please have your friend research some Meth sites, to see what exactly happens when he smokes meth. Most people don't realize the extent of damage they are causing their body while taking this drug. It wreaks havoc on your system in so many ways, you would be surprised to learn how so. Several clinics are also available out there to help your friend with this addiction. The addiction is so strong, its rare that people stop by themselves. I would hope you can notice the signs and try to get your friend some help, people with the addiction often don't notice it themselves because the only thing they care about is getting that next high, which will never be as high as the previous one. They will continue chasing that high until they kill themselves, with over use, or severely damage an organ(s) leading to permanent damage leading to death or severe disabilities. I'm sorry if I come across as preaching.. I am not trying to come across that way, I am just trying to stress the importance of stopping the use of this drug. I wish you the best. |
