How have people recovered from meth addictions how hard is it?
I am 23 about to go into a detox program recovering form a ice addiction wanting to know experiences of other survivors.how hard is it? am i going to make it. Im also in a domestic violent relationship trying to get out of that also Im staying in a refuge at the moment for a couple of days untill there is enough room in the detox program i cant go home my partner was mentally and physically abusing me i have a broken nose at the moment but i was never ever strong enough to say enough is enough untill now.... just some words of advise would be wonderful. i have a nephew that is addicted to crystal meth and this is turning our family upside down. His mother is a nervous reck. We had him into rehab but relapsed. On Oprah they mentioned a tablet that takes away the craving can any1 remenber the name and have you got any advice

My father was absent most of my life due to his addiction to meth. He has been clean for three years and has been back in my life for about two. I am having trouble bonding with him, it feels like there is a barrier and I thought that if I read about meth addiction it may help me understand were he is coming from. Can methadone be used in treating crystal meth addiction?
I know someone who has used any type of speed he could get his hands on for the last 10 years.His drug of choice for the last few years has been crystal meth, or ice as it is called. He really wants to just have a normal life now but this addiction has a hold on him that he can't get loose from. I heard methadone clinics can help with this but I can't find anything on the net about it.
