Depending on how old the meth addict is, and what your relationship is with that person. Obviously if you are the parent of a 15 yrs old, you have more say so, than if you are a peer friend from high school. You don't offer much information but with what you do offer, I would suggest you start attend Co-Dependent Meetings and encourage the person to enter Inpatient Treatment. People on meth do not get clean from meth in outpatient, it is to strong of an addiction. My suggestion is that you look up various inpatient numbers and have them ready to offer in case this person would decide to enter treatment. Usually addicts will only enter treatment, when they are ready to enter treatment. I am a substance abuse counselor and if you would like to read my profile and email me so we can chat about a specific plan. God Bless ReggieR |
