I wonder what is going on with her, she now is very overweight, and is out of breath when she just walks across the room. She also flies into periodic rages, and keeps saying that she won't live much longer. She had to have all of her teeth removed, and get false teeth. She eats a very bad diet, and I wonder, if at times, she isn't still using the drug from time to time. She eats a very bad diet, high in cholesterol. She occasonally has slurred speech, and irrational behavior. I know there are possible heart problems with long time crystal meth use, and I wonder if there is heart damage. She is in her mid fifties, and I don't think she has been to a doctor at all. I am concerned, because she is helping babysit a child.

Your concerns are valid. I know that those who use crystal meth can go into a psychotic (mental break from reality) state. It can ruin the teeth as well. Meth users have also had their brain scanned and some actually have holes in the brain (not that your loved one does, and please do *not* say that to her, anyway ;) If your relative does go into periodic rages, it does NOT sound safe for her to be around a child. I would not trust a child to someone like that. Check the movie Crazy Heart and make a conclusion. Looks like your relative needs serious help.

Sounds like normal features of obesity and a possible psychiatric illness. I see no correlation with the presented symptoms and her history of methamphetamine use. Might be hypochondria, histrionic disorder, or a possible case of sadistic personality disorder, as well as possibly some form of anxiety disorder(PTSD, GAD, OCD) I would need more of a work up to say for sure.
