Question: Does smoking crystal meth really cause it to crystalize in your lungs if you hold it in?

I... - #1 I Don't smoke meth - am just wondering how something extremely water soluble would crystallize in a moist place? Is this more war on drugs lies and disinformation? I have just always heard this and am curious. |

Honestly, it sounds like a pretty bogus theory to me. As for the War on Drugs, I think that there are some pretty good reasons for it but marijuana is not one. My father is a heroin addict who lives in a alley in Bremerton, Wa now. I have other members of his side of the family who have had similar problems. I, like many people, think that weed isnt any worse than drinking but sh!t like meth or heroin is just bad news all around. That was a strange rambling answer, oops :P |

Keep in mind, most of the "war on drugs lies " tend to be based on actual studies that have been done. Some are a bit of a stretch, but there ARE actual scientific bases for most of the claims. When in doubt, don't go to a site like this, but go to scientific papers and research groups. And if something sounds too good to be true... go to the science research and make them prove it. So the facts. Crystals tend to form fairly easily, however not much research has been done on the lungs exposed to meth, since it's use is illegal, and long-term studies definitely have not been done, partly because of illegalness and partly because it's not that 'old' of a drug. And there are some who will take the fact that not as many studies have been done and slant it to try and scare kids away from using Meth. Since Meth is such a very potent and dangerous drug, effects being seen after just one use, they feel they are in the right (and who knows, they MIGHT be right.) But, it's not from a secure scientific foundation. Brain damage though HAS been documented. So has lung damage from short term use and long-term use (of certain types of lung damage, but I haven't heard much on crystalizing lungs.) Also, if this was from the war on drugs type group, then they would be trying to tell you that any use causes damage (which... does seem to be the case) not telling you that holding it causes more damage (which has no basis that I can find.) That sounds more like what someone would say if they want to sell meth and not have people hold it in but go through it faster if you get my drift. Add: Something I have found. Meth users often get emphysema and emphysema is known as a 'sparing' type of disease, which also is known as crystalizing. So perhaps the question should be whether meth causes emphysema or makes it worse, which it does seem to from studies done. However, nothing about how long you hold it in. |

Yeah, you don't smoke meth but you're concerned about the ill effects of it. Whatever the case, smoking anything is not good for you.Do you really want to die a pathetic worthless piece of protoplasm a horrible death. I won't describe how you die because Someone young might be reading this. Whether you are smoking it or not apparently you are hanging with people who do. With all the earnestness at my command I implore you to dump them. They are headed for destruction. Don't doubt that for an instant. You might say "It won't happen to me " or "It won't happen to them ". Trust me you do not want to go down that path. And don't think that weed, or coke or any other kind of illicit drugs will somehow help you in your life. God bless and may you find the right path. |
